Precursor 1 to Beercation

This summer my cousin Matt, two of his friends (Andrew and Ben), and myself will be making an epic road trip called Beercation. Beercation will take the four of us across the country and border, stopping only for breweries, pubs, landmarks, friends, and sleep occasionally. This 5000 plus mile trek will be documented by blogging, camera, and videocamera...fingers crossed (hook that up mom and dad). I am thinking that Ben will be doing some blogging, too. He's currently traveling from Asia to Australia, and I strongly encourage you to checkout his blog

So Many Roads I know

I'd also like to share a quote from the show Cheers, as it explains the buffalo theory, obviously my favorite theory:

Well you see, Norm, it's like this...A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the heard is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

In addition, I'm thinking about making a YouTube channel to follow our "fact-finding mission," as my cousin has jokingly dubbed our trip. Not sure if that will happen or not, but I know we will be wicked smart on this trip.

On a side note, Happy mom's day.
